Very Well

Said: "Yes, it's funny that the same people who believe they can legislate away obesity and poverty consider it unrealistic to tackle other problems. But they do."

I might add hate and risk and stupidity and others but that was succinct. via Instapundit who credits Chicagoboyz

Savin Rock

It was like it was a little Coney Island, only bigger, from what they say in the film. The West Haven/Savin Rock fire depts. have a long history as well. Seems just around recessions there was always a big fire taking out a landmark, sadly. The 1938 hurricane destroyed the roller coaster. A local girl won Miss America in 1933, she was only fifteen at the time. They instituted a minimum age not long after.

Well it's almost July 4th, God Bless America, and Coney Island looks like it will recieve a visit from Kobayashi. His condition, was it a ruse, to throw off Joey Chestnut, who just broke a record? Or will he be doping to make it through? Who knew there was an IFOCE?

And who could guess such an innocent face would bely such a ravenous machine? Her specialty is hard boiled eggs. Holy Cool Hand!

She'll be there. The event has seen scandal, this year the suspense is just coming right back up!!

Should be posting again tomorrow etc. How 'bout a photo (Nooooo, not another photo!)--O.k. I promise not many, and links with frequency once more...Lot's has been everywhere about the immigration bill, but did anyone notice that congress took this time to pass a pay raise? Wow!!

Posting

very little obviously. Very little computer time. This is amusing. Which reminded me of that English family that formed Sealand.

Amen

"The most liberal senator has more in common with the most conservative senator than either has in common with you or me, and we know it."

Here also.

And just because I like seeing, hearing and thinking it again:

Throughout New England, tar and feathers soon became the "popular Punishment for modern delinquents."

Solstice

Tomorrow is the longest day of the year. Until 1925 a day began at noon for GMT.

There is a push on to help ebay alternatives starting tomorrow. Here is a movie of what the sun would see looking at the Earth's axis throughout the year. That is from here.

Blue moons have been discussed, here is a calculator.
