Russia

Ten years or so ago I saw an incredible collection with a great friend. There are new conjectures.

Tintin

Well we all know the "I will fight" cliche (apocryphal?) has given way to "I will burn down all of your stuff and demand you re-house me if I take offense."

But there are bumps along the way. First the courts. That is the essence of civilized censorship.

Next year they will say it's good for you.

The double "J's"

Jimmy and Jack had birthdays in the last several days. Jack made some fantastic food and Jimmy had an absolutely Pro fest at the Bluefish. Here are a couple of photos of the game. Happy Birthday Gentlemen!!!!

Bill Roggio

On a Sadr City raid.

Haven't read this elsewhere, must not be important. The "elite" journalist institutions wouldn't mute or overlook something that disrupted their transparent narrative, would they?

Marshal Mathers

III in an early "freestyle" video. I found this interesting.

Via GeekArmy

They also link to video of construction mishaps.

That last one looks unfortunate.

The Enemy

How ever you pronounce his name, he has been convicted.

The Times says one way, his attorneys another. If you asked him he would answer with the sobriquet he has assumed for Allah, "Abdullah al-Muhajir."

Hmmm...They don't use the assumed Muslim names for these converts, do they? Wouldn't want the great unwashed to be "swayed" with the association to the R.O.P.

Althouse link seen on Instapundit.

Round Heads

School in China has rigorous standards.

Phrenology is mentioned in this book. It's a good book.

Birthdays

There are many this month. The Monorail is free to persons on their birthday with proof.

Update:

Somewhat amusing exchange linked through above link.

New Yorker piece linked in said exchange.

Headless Walruses

Have been washing up on shore in Alaska. This is bad. Supply your own dandruff/headandshoulders/washing up on beach jokes, because I won't.

Update: Rumors of Suicide have been making way throughout the seafaring communities. It's all very sad, tusk, tusk.

Nice venue

I took many shots with the macro on...rats.

I spelled "reservoir" incorrectly as well, which went through on each photo. I will correct anon.

Riley and Flower

Had the settings on the camera off, but the woods were pretty, the flower striking and the pooch attentive and friendly.

Wrong Setting

On camera, but these look kind of nice.

Paddy sends this link. We used to have to beat abuse and neglect from a very young age to get those folks.

Illegals

That this is unusual to see in print, and that it is phrased with such temerity and distance, are signs of the nations castration.

"Those who favor strict immigration enforcement say the ability of murder suspect Jose Carranza, an illegal immigrant from Peru, to roam the streets before the killings despite pending assault and child-rape charges underscores the need for stepped up contact between local authorities and immigration agents. Many say police should routinely check immigration status during the normal course of their work."

Tracing

Wiki-style. This is interesting, and will continue to be cat and mouse. Belling the cat (swapped link for better version) is something which popped up in reading this week, seems to go back to Aesop. The implications on both sides are typical and trace human nature.

Pine Tree Frog Tone

The subject came up today. A link to a link is here. I found it more directly at first, when I posted a while ago, but need to think on that. The tones are free, you get a couple of legislation updates but they don't wreck your email. I recommend it. The barn owl sounds like a horror show and I dare anyone to keep it on a regular basis.

I would link to the choices but they made me re-sign with my new phone and I will wait a spell.

I was asked how free odd sounds could save the planet. "Awareness!!" was my answer, but we all know better.

Ocean

story to watch

Story

of it all...

As a dim slacker I'm just left wondering at the posting problems. New links are a problem.

Cameras

This is about where I am, which may end up fun.

Electrogenic

I did not realize that the term for the likes of the Electric Eel and the Electric Catfish, is "electrogenic."

Now, electrogenic mammals? Maybe it's a prankster fisher with a joybuzzer. Or a fisher who's a prankster, or who knows?

Chicken Rocket

The awful news is beginning to sink in, the good word is that they are no more. The site is up but no response is to be had, no product forthcoming, and the phone number rings others.

I can attest to the beauty and effectiveness of the true Chicken Rocket, prep the bird correctly and a home-run was nearly guaranteed. Download the theme song while you can.

The good news: moving parts were less than few. It reminds me of an old joke. I think I could make one.

Here are a couple of other links from Freemarket. I owe a blog apology as I have posted comments which were likely incoherent over there when I should have just turned off anything electrical and finished what was cold before proceeding to bed. He's always worth checking in on, without a doubt.

Vegans

Should they get rid of all of their photos? Some set serious standards.

More Fourth Estate

I had this post sitting as a draft for a spell. I intended to get stats on public trust of lawyers and add a little here or there. I did not get to it but saw this over at Classical Values, and the Puppy Blender mentioned it as well. So I took it out of the draft file which sticks it back chronologically.

Dance

film that might be interesting.

Fourth Estate

My contempt is not hidden. They must keep a close circle because I can't imagine, and have never met, anyone who can defend convincingly the life view they are less and less successful in imposing. Every time I meet new people it is agreed that political correctness is a bonkers detriment and it is the Journalists that are most self satisfied with imposing it.

They have a lower approval rating than the President or lawyers.

There seemed to be a comfy period without competition where they limned the rampant distrust of politicians, but they were no better.

Sheep Kaboomb!

I can't defend this, it really is wrong on many levels. But it did make me grin. Not for sheep lovers. I'm sure they made it safely to slaughter.

A collective groan

can almost be heard from a couple of blocks over, and every other journalism institution in the western world. Don't expect much coverage.

I was once in a class with a woman who was a bank teller. The bank was robbed. The next day reading the accounts she swore to God she would never believe another news report again.

Oh, Pinch's mess is tearing down the wall. What glee, the great unwashed get's MoDo once again.

Holy Land USA

Wow. I am posting several taken today. Without comment. Very sad and interesting. Never expected the terrain to be so hardscrabble.

Update: I wrote "without comment," then commented. Anyone catch that? File under "blog-error."
